The Twestival is a worldwide charity event organised entirely by volunteers harnessing the power of Twitter.
Twitter is a mass-user broadcasting platform - instant messaging to an audience. It’s CB radio for Web 2.0.
The Brussels Twestival is in two days time, and I’d urge you to show up. Tickets start at 5 € (good idea to pre-order) and all profits go directly to charity. There will be an “unconference” on social media for social change, but if that doesn’t float your boat, there’ll be three bands, a DJ, and a lot of beer. I’ll be there as well, and worrying about how best to spend my tax rebate. I’ll buy you a pint, seeing as it’s all in aid of a good cause.
