Or, How To Get More Clients By Not Being Forgotten

Yo, furiously sexy and intelligent reader of my newsletter!

(By the way, if you’re not a reader, and you found this by accident, HI! WELCOME! Now sign up – big box on the right.)

So you’ve got your list of 20 strangers, right? And you’re introducing one person to another person each day, right? And you’re sharing something cool, right?

I’m sure you are, because you’re industrious and perspicacious student of fine marketing techniques.

But ARGH! You’re losing touch of who you contacted! When to follow up? Argh! Yellow post-it notes compete for space on your desk with lists of telephone numbers and business cards of people you’ve forgotten.

Despite my sage and entirely free advice, you haven’t opened a free Highrise account to track your interactions with people. (Statistically, you haven’t. Apologies if you have.)

As a reminder – click here to get your account, then look for this on the plans and pricing page:

Free Highrise AccountRight. That done, here’s what you need to do to stay in touch like a real stay-in-touch ninja:

Follow up every 30 days with everybody.

And here’s how you use Highrise to show you who to contact when.

Powerful stuff, eh?

And yes, it’s not a catch-all solution. Some of you will have too many contacts to feasibly handle staying in touch with all them on your own.

One solution to that is to share the responsibility with your staff. Highrise allows multiple users.

Got no staff? DON’T WORRY!

If you get my newsletter, I’ll be sending you the second solution in a few days. Keep your eyes on your inbox.

Reader, I salute you!

(Now get your free Highrise account!)

And, of course, YOU ROCK!

Definitely agree on this one – Highrise is the system I use for staying in touch with my clients, and I love it. Like other stuff from 37signals it's incredibly easy to use – makes the whole process a real joy.
